Go to yourguitarsage.com to find out how to get a chart to this song and 100s other songs!!! This guitar lesson vid shows you how to play Float On, by Modest Mouse. It shows you the chords, strumming technique and style. Check out yourguitarsage.com for info on my online instructional resources about charts, chords, strumming and the techniques that I use here in my videos.. wow… like coffee?

I actually think the use of the kapo for songs that don’t necessarily require it, is a good way for people to get the rhythm of the songs down and learn the general tune and how it sounds on the guitar down quicker. That way whomever is watching these videos can build upon what they learned from these videos and play more complex versions. Just my opinion. xP

I think the strum pattern goes down, down, down, up, down, up. But I’m not sure of that. If I am wrong, then please, someone correct me. Good luck ghillieman.

Do you need this to play the song or no? Trying to learn one before winter break is over, looked like a good enough one, but I don’t have the capo..

  21. ghillieman24 says:

HAHAH!! I invented the frickin’ bar chord…but alas grasshopper many guitar players are beginners and don’t know how to play them which is why I teach these easier versions The open mind is the mind that continues to learn, the closed mind ceases to learn.
