What are the best blues songs to learn on the guitar to progress skill level?
Posted by admin on 2nd September 2010 in Blues Guitar Tips
I’ve had a guitar since I was 12. I’ve picked at it from time to time but would like to get serious with it. I’d like to know what the best blues songs to practice with would be. Song names and the original artists who performed them would be grateful. If not blues songs, what are the best songs in general to play to progress in guitar skill. Please and thank you.

if your into blues then i would say go with some rollling stones to start our- then bb king- and then when your pretty good go to some stevie ray vaugh (the sky is crying, little wing, texas flooding)
for songs in general i would say megadeths “symphony of destruction” and “dread and the fugative mind” great for building up timing, unique sequences and keep practicing the solos cause once you get them right you would have improved 10 times
to progress in guitar skill download backup blues proggressions off ur computer and try soloing in the key they are in just keep doing that on different keys and make ur solos more complex eventually switch to different genres and for chords try taking a solo and playing chords in that key and add extensions and cool rythms. Trust me I know people who got good by doing this. Soloing and chords are the easiest and fastest way to improve on guitar as long as you constantly practice.
