yes there are many places you can buy a program which can teach you guitar. Yup they work, but have you seen professional guitar players, none of them used any program. They all teach them selves or get a teacher. You could probably get a friend to teach you. Or do what i do learn techniques and songs. Go on Google and type in things like techniques. One would be legato(helps you shred). Learn how to read tabs and go to ultimate-guitar.com and learn songs. You could probably spend the money on that program on a good teacher who you can ask questions. Use the internet its limitless, or get a good buddy.

Try and get a real teacher, but if you cant, try guitarpro
