Marty… I would take a bullet for you. Just not in the face. Or the hands. Need the hands to play guitar along with your lessons. Need the face to get the ladies.
@ArtMan659 dominant 7th chords, probably the most important chords in jazz and blues, added 9th, learn how to hear 1st, major 3rd, 5th, minor 7th in chords and you won’t ever regret this, of course there is more but start with dominant 7th chords
hey Marty,
at the very end of the lesson,
what are those 2 chords you
are playing?
@matthenderson7 he isn’t famous because he has retarded fans like you.
Thanks Marty for all your patience with us beginners. Your a good man!
@fudestamp made me think of “hey joe” at first
Haa Ha I love lickin. just thought that was funny.
Marty, you are the main man, I really enjoy the vid’s and hope to leanr as much as I can even at 61 and just moving on guitar again.

Dude! .. Thanks for all the help.. I finally got some new things that I understand to try.. Keep up the good work!
Marty ? He is famous. You never heard of him ? He was more famous in the late 80s. Absolutely the best guitar instructor on Youtube, I have learned alot of blues and songs, and am a diehard subscriber, but back in the day he was better known as ” Furbie.” Google it man.
Thank you so much for these great videos, I’ve recently watched the movies directed by Martin Scorseze about the blues – a musical journey and said: I gotta learn to play that! So I’ve found here just what I wanted, thanks a lot!
wanna sell me your Martin Marty?
best guitar tutorial videos on youtube.
I’ve been playing blues for so long that I thought it was getting boring. After watching some of Marty’s videos I realized I just needed some fresh licks and ideas. My blues style got real cramped and “in the box”, staying in pentatonic, blues pent and lydian pent modes gets you real burnt out after a while. These lessons in the key of E, working down the whole neck, A7 chords, original licks. SO AWESOME. Thanks Marty!
Grazie!
MUCH THANKS MARTY
more blues, video’s please
peace n love
It’s hard to see what’s going on with people’s fingers usually – thanks for making it clear. I’m guitar stupid – but I don’t plan to be for long
Whatever!
Whatever!
