Guitar Advice? Types and sound quality?

Posted by admin on 10th September 2010 in Guitar Playing Tips

K so i started playing guitar, and i bought a Cheap Fender Starcaster pack from Target. I got better than i expected and now im wondering if i should get another guitar or if the starcaster is good. also, does the amp make a big difference in the guitar’s sound quality?
I was thinking of saving for a les paul or something but i don’t wanna spend so much money if i need to get another amp. Gah im so confused. Please give me any advice possible.
i started playing on a nice acoustic, then i bought a cheap electric, but now im looking into a slightly nicer electric, not like 1000 dollars but next notch up

ok, before you go all out and get a les paul (sexy guitar) you should invest in a descent acoustic. not an expensive one, but a good one to help your skills. it’s always better to be able to play unplugged as well. so keep saving for the sexy guitar but slow down and get a nice ibanez or something, acoustic songs are also very good practice.

I have the same guitar and personally as long as it works im okay with it but if u want to buy a les paul try to practice with ur strato I had my acoustic for 2 yrs before i got to move on to my strato so yeah
and the amp definately makes a big diffrent bigger amps have more effects like distorion and etc my super small amp only has overdrive whilst my guitar teacher has a huge one and it has loads od diffrent effects so the bigger the better

hope I help dnt be afraid to email me some more questions about guitar trust me iv been there
    abd sorry its so long
