I’m also a big fan of instrumentals guitar playing. Youtube is the best place to check them out. Most good players like Thackery are not tied down to one genre.

Here are a few of my favorites that have a lot of instrumentals.

Greg Koch is based in the Milwaukee area and is a Fender rep.

I try to get to New York City at least once a year to see Gary Lucas play. He once was a member of Captain Beefheart’s band and is a fine player.

Then there is Danny Gatton. There are many great guitarists but I want EVERYTHING that I can find and there is good stuff on Youtube to see and hear.

There is a local guitarist, here in Syracuse named Mark Doyle. He’s put out a few guitar instrumental records…”Guitar Noir” and “Out of the Past” on Free Will Records.

I have no clue if they’re still available.

And for an old school selecton there’s always Dick Dale, Link Wray, The Ventures, and The Shadows.
