i bought a tuning device, but i tuned my guitar to it and it sounds nothing like it should. I think something has to do with the Hertz that i can change on my tuning device… but what hertz number should i put it at in order to tune it correctly?

Alright so basically I start with the low E string and tune each string down half a step, but then after that the low E string that I tuned down is back to a normal E note, not D#. Also, when I tune each string down, the floyd rose mechanism on the body of the guitar goes too low. What’s the proper way to tune each string down half a step on a floyd rose?

Tuning reference notes for guitar in standard Eb tuning, all strings half a step down. Eb Ab Db Gb Bb Eb Each note is played twice, with plenty of time to tune up each string. If you can tune quickly, then you can just skip forward!! Please check back for other tunings! Have fun!

There’s a lot of interest in how to play Save It for Later by the English Beat. That’s because the original uses a highly unusual guitar tuning (DADAAD). Here’s how I try to play the song using standard guitar tuning (EADGBE). The main chords are D(addE) / A(C#) / G(addE)

I know the electric tuner is accurate and I know the 5th fret method, but I want to learn how to tune my guitar by ear. Any informations, tips or suggestions on how to do this?
Any suggestions on how to train my ear to recognize notes without a turner of guessing? I know this is important to learn to play better but no idea how to go about it.
And the local book store and guitar center does not sell such books on the subject.
Besides the 5th fret method.
