So I have never played a guitar before and decided that I want to play. I am going to take lessons soon, but before I am able to start that I wanted to find a website that would show me the absolute basics like the different strings, simple notes, etc. So if anyone has any recommendations that would be great. I just bought an electric guitar yesterday and i started playing and it just seems so hard to do. I also have a bass guitar which i began playing, but am putting on hold so i can learn this. How long did it take you to learn to play sufficiently enough so you can read tabs while you play? i hope you can understand what i am asking.
