To confirm the lyrics of ‘Deep Blue Sea’, I had to refer to my LPs of the Spinners, so am taking the opportunity to record some more of their songs that have hitherto eluded my memory. This is a very old English drinking song to which there are probably many more verses depending on which part of the country you hale from, these being the ones the Spinners sing on their album ‘The English Collection’.
