Posted by admin on 24th April 2011 in Electric Guitar Tips

One week ago, I got a really awesome gibson SG electric guitar for a good price and a good amp too. Since then I’ve been practicing the major chords (D,C, E, G, etc.) and practicing the minor pentatonic scales at different places on the guitar neck. I also just learnt what power chords are too. I can play fragments of songs like “iron man” “come together” “smoke on the water”. What I really want to know is what I should be Read more...

Could an experienced guitar player give me some advice?

Posted by admin on 7th June 2010 in Guitar Playing Tips

I am looking into purchasing an acoustic guitar, but I’m brand new to guitars and would like some advice. I’m interested in a 41″ Huntington model with steel strings. It’s within my price range and seems like a good fit for me (I only want to play for pleasure). Could an experienced guitar player tell me their opinion on Huntingtons? Thanks much!
