Right hand picking problems on the guitar?

Posted by admin on 15th March 2011 in Advanced

i play the electric guitar and currently practicing the alternate picking. the question is i hold my pick/plectrum with my index and thumb and the rest of my fingers touch or pivot on the body of the guitar much like michael angelo batio’s style, can this gain me speed on my right hand picking? and do you have this picking style to, or experience this to? i want a advanced or a professional guitar player to answer this.
