Are there any beginner songs for guitar that don’t require the low and high E strings to be played?

Posted by admin on 13th January 2011 in Beginners

I was playing my acoustic guitar and all of a sudden the low E string breaks. Moments after the high E string followed. So I’m trying to figure out if there are any beginner level songs that I can learn without having to use those two strings. I’ve had a guitar instructor for about a month, but have been practicing on and off for about 2 yrs now. Bookmark it: Read more...

Beginner guitar frustration keep hitting high E?

Posted by admin on 8th October 2010 in Beginners

Beginner her playing guitar. I am 31 years old, started taking lessons a few weeks ago. Enjoying it, but her is what I am having trouble with. When playing a note in which I have to put the index finger on the B chord, the high E is almost impossible to string correctly(meaning my fat index finger is always on it). I have tried every angle on my wrist. When I use my pinkie, it does not touch the high E. Is there anyway of getting around this? THanks! Bookmark it: Read more...
