I am going to start learning the acoustic guitar, a friend of mine has a left handed one that she says I can borrow. Will it be harder for me to learn on a left handed guitar? There are some left handed guitar players that string their guitars upside down. Low E string at the bottom and high E string at the top where normally the low E string should be at the top. When I started playing guitar, my first instructor drilled me in blues to teach the way chord progressions work and the structure of modern american music. I learned to love the music for it’s quality and simplicity (not to mention the great players like BB King, Buddy Guy, Muddy Waters). My palm (especially the area between my thumb and wrist) sometimes have horrible cramps when I do scale work on guitar, and gets gradually worse as I go faster on the metronome. Does my hand muscles just need to get strengthened, or am I doing something wrong posture-wise? Bookmark it: Read more...
