For instance, If I use a basic standard electric tuner and want to go to one half-step lower on all of the strings, would it be recommended to fret the first fret on each string and tune to standard while holding those notes? I’ve been doing this lately to go into lower tunings, but I’m a novice and I am not quite sure if it’s a good idea.
