Can I play a Marshall 4ohm guitar amp over my 8ohm home speakers?

Posted by admin on 11th December 2011 in Advanced

Without damaging the amp or the speakers, I want to play my Marshall 4ohm guitar amp with my 8ohm speakers to my home stereo. I know the speakers can handle the power as far as wattage goes, however I’m not sure how the mixing and matching of different ohms works and I don’t want to fry/blow anything. Can I do it? Thanks in advance! Bookmark it: Read more...

12-string Guitar: Over The Hills And Far Away (Including lyrics and chords)

Posted by admin on 26th August 2011 in Guitar Strumming

While exploring Corries’ songs, I have just this-morning come across this rousing march which Roy and Ronnie sang accompanying themselves on Bodhrans. I was taken with the song so have made up my own accompaniment as an experiment. Jacobite Troops had no formal uniform. The white cockade on a blue bonnet became their emblem.
