Hi, as of lately, I’ve been wanting to learn the ukulele. As of now, I’ve been playing guitar for about three years, and I’m fifteen, so not too experienced, but I love playing very much. I play guitar, piano, base guitar, bongos, and vocals. Im looking to record me playing basic guitar – then overlap that with some finger picking of the same courds. Then I want to be able to change the sound of my guitar and add leads through the song. After I finish all the guitar parts I want to cut to the chorus and fade in my piano part. I’m 16 and just enrolled in a guitar course in school. I’m very serious about purchasing one that i can use that is durable and has great sound. I can’t decide on a brand tho. i’m looking at a Gibson/Epiphone on ebay for two hundred. Seller is 99.7% positive feedback. Would this be a good beginner? Or would it be a lot of upkeep? i play the electric guitar and currently practicing the alternate picking. the question is i hold my pick/plectrum with my index and thumb and the rest of my fingers touch or pivot on the body of the guitar much like michael angelo batio’s style, can this gain me speed on my right hand picking? and do you have this picking style to, or experience this to? i want a advanced or a professional guitar player to answer this.
