I’ve been playing rhythm acoustic for about 2 years now, I play pretty well, my acoustic is Drama – Taylor 210. Great little guitar. I have an American Standard Strat and a Blues Junior Tube amp. Ok I know scales are very important for making an improvising solos on guitar. But which scales are used especially for different types of music. I know pentatonic is used in rock and blues. An that’s all my guitar teacher is teaching me. So I want to learn different scales I just don’t want to waste time learning one that won’t fit my style of music. ok so I’ve learned the fade to black intro by metallica aswell as the first solo but Im so slow. its like most people can play it so quickly but I can’t…any advice. I’ve been playing for about 2 years(self taught) and surely by now I should be able to do it right but I can’t I just cant get my fingers to move that quickly do I just have to keep practasing and it will eventualy come???
