ok so I’ve learned the fade to black intro by metallica aswell as the first solo but Im so slow. its like most people can play it so quickly but I can’t…any advice. I’ve been playing for about 2 years(self taught) and surely by now I should be able to do it right but I can’t I just cant get my fingers to move that quickly do I just have to keep practasing and it will eventualy come???

My cousin is very good and when he plays blues guitar solos he solos up and down the neck and it sounds great. I am not getting lessons and I was wondering how he does that, can anyone tell me?

Ok so I have been playing guitar for 2 years now and have learned a lot. I’ve been playing guitar for a little over 4 months now. Since I started on an acoustic guitar, I’m good with the chords and somewhat rhythm. But I need to know more about how to play solos. The only things I know that are close to playing a solo is the basic pentatonic scales and the blues scale. What I hate about what I am doing is that I’m playing the exact same thing over and over again I try to add new things but its hard to get it right. I know my scales but adding a solo is something hard to get down and make it sound different, I know some of you would answer to listen to stevie ray vaughn or something and listen to their solos and licks but I want to create it out of the blue not try to copy someone elses
